The building named “Legione dei Carabinieri di Cagliari” is located in Via Sonnino, in front of Piazza Gramsci, in the district of Villanova. The building was planned by the engineers Angelo Binaghi and Flavio Scano.

The construction began at the end of 1930 and was inaugurated in 1933 when the building was not finished yet. The edifice of pentagonal structure, is characterized by redundant forms. In the upper part it is possible to admire four large bronze sculptures made by the sculptor Albino Manca, representing naked male figures symbolizing "The Fascist age, The Justice, The New Youth and The Duty".
