The MEM – Media Library is located in Via Mameli, in the historic district of Stampace, in the space that was from 1923, for 28 years, the stadium of Cagliari and then, in the 50's, the Civic Market. The transparent glass façades show the functions hosted inside, the places dedicated to study and cultural enjoyment. The elongated planimetric shape is balanced by the deformation of the façades widening in the middle to mark the centrality of the main entrances at the MEM.

What is Meccano?

Meccano is a bar where you can relax, recharge and where your kids can play; also those who normally are bored and tossing sugar bags around.

Meccano was an old toy factory that were constructing different kind of vehicles and mechanical models (also called Meccano), produced from 1908 to 1980 by Meccano Ltd in Liverpool. Then toys such as Lego made of plastic, substituted the metal pieces of Meccano.

I received a Meccano when I was a child, a red box with few pieces inside, it was a hand-me-down used by cousins and uncles. Even though the pieces were few, the possibilities were nearly endless and playing with Meccano is still a very fond memory of mine.

Although I had some doubts, the name remained Meccano, and maybe it's just right because this is for every age and every person, just like the mechanical models.

Parents can relax and enjoy the tranquility while their children play, have fun and create friendships with other children.

The tourist port of Marina Piccola is located in the Gulf of Cagliari, SE of the city, at the foot of the hill called "Sella del Diavolo" and at the base of the Poetto, a beach more than 7 km long, and also called "beach of a hundred thousand" because of the number of bathers who flock to it during peak summer periods. In the Marina there are about 350 boats, including fishing boats. Inside the area there are also an amphitheatre and several dining options. Marina Piccola is 10 minutes from the train and bus station and is well served by public transport. The airport is about 20/25 minutes away by car.

The Sant'Elmo’s Marina is located in the Port of Cagliari, a crossroads for both mercantile and pleasure boating in the Mediterranean. It is located between the Darsena del Sale and the New Molo di Levante, and consists of four floating piers and a quay, for a total of more than one kilometer of docking.

It offers about 300 seats and ground access is delimited in all its perimeter by fence and is monitored by a video surveillance system. The Marina is classified as a cardio-protected port: in fact, it has qualified personnel for defibrillator interventions in emergencies at sea or on land.
The Marina has an uncovered area of about 10,000 square meters where boats with displacement up to 30 tons are hospitalized, maintained and repaired.
There is a fully equipped Club House which offers: changing rooms, showers, toilets, washing machine and dryer. There is also a bar restaurant with an adjoining terrace overlooking the sea, where you can enjoy fresh fish dishes or drinks in complete relaxation and have Wi-Fi.

Within the port of Cagliari, Portus Karalis is a stone's throw from the city center, services and major tourist attractions.

From the Portus Karalis Marina it is possible to reach the naturalistic attractions of which Cagliari is surrounded in a few minutes.

In fact, you have the privilege of enjoying both the sea view and the suggestive and lively historical center of Cagliari. It is the only tourist port in southern Sardinia capable of hosting boats up to 90 meters in length and beyond, for a total of 118 berths.

It is ideal for those who need long stops during the year but also for those who want to coast the beauties of Sardinia. Portus Karalis is in fact inserted in a network of exclusive ports of excellence, which includes the Marina of Porto Rotondo, Punta Marana, Cala Bitta and Bosa Marina.

Numerous services are available: water outlets, electricity outlets, dock lighting, Wi-Fi service, guard, piloting, mooring, fire-fighting services, waste collection, weather service, toilets and showers; plus those on request.

The Marina di Bonaria port ("Su Siccu" dock) is located inside the port of Cagliari, opposite the Bonaria Sanctuary, between the “New Levino Basin” and the “Salt Darsena”.

Inside the dock there are 302 berths. The dock is located inside a big commercial port, with large moving units; anchoring and fishing are prohibited inside the port area and can be accessed with a maximum speed of 3 knots.

While refuelling can only be carried out within the port of Cagliari, at the marina of Bonaria, "Su Siccu harbour" there are water and electricity outlets, a slide, a slipway, a fixed crane up to 2,5 tons and an outdoor storage.

It is also possible to have engine, hull and sail repair services. The Su Siccu dock offers security and fire-fighting services, waste collection, toilets and showers, car parking, and there is a telephone booth.

The "Walk to Su Siccu" is a suggestive path on the highly recommended promenade, from which, in addition to the sea, you can admire the famous staircase of the Basilica of Bonaria from below.

It's located within the Port of Cagliari, between the "Pennello di Sant'Elmo" and the "Nuovo Molo di Levante". It has 200 mooring places, 30 of which reserved for transit.
