The itinerary features religion, ancient history, archaeology and culture that melt together, through the district where once the farmers from Campidano settled.
The Villanova district is one of the four historic districts of Cagliari, appreciated by residents and tourists. In the past it was considered the area of farmers and gardeners and welcomed the many families from the Campidano countryside.
Today it is an essential itinerary for all those who love walking and will be able to immortalize with their shots the long flowery views and the streets embellished with plants. As well worth visiting are the cloister of San Domenico, the church of San Giacomo and the beautiful square in front of it. Art lovers can get lost in the narrow and colourful San Saturnino Street, famous for his street art, or visit the Exma cultural center which hosts interesting art exhibitions every year.
