The Church of Saint Paolo overlooks Piazza Giovanni XXIII, one of the most recent squares in Cagliari, built together with the new parish after the end of the Second World War, starting in the 1950s. Outside the building there is a statue depicting San Giovanni Bosco. The entrance is characterized by a covered porch closed by three iron gates and preceded by a staircase. The interior develops through a single, two-tone and rectangular nave.
