Sardinian Arts and Crafts

This tour is recommended to those who aim to discover Sardinian culture and tradition through some of the best artistic and craft products in town.

Cagliari offers the opportunity to take a trip to discover Sardinian art and traditional crafts.

The place that brings together the most significant works of contemporary Sardinian painting and sculpture is the Municipal Art Gallery, located inside the public gardens, inaugurated in 1933. The sculptures of the artist Francesco Ciusa stand out, in particular.

In the field of craftsmanship, the Luigi Cocco Collection known as the Ethnographic Museum, located in the citadel of museums, collects artifacts of Sardinian popular culture dating back to the second half of the nineteenth and the first half of the twentieth century. Carpets, jewelery, furniture, tools and carving works are exhibited.
