Multipli/City Şiir Özbilge
The solo exhibition Multipli/City by Şiir Özbilge, is conceived with the intent of multiplying the perspective on the work of the Turkish artist, who has been living in Sardinia since 2017.
Multipli/City is a play on words that encompasses the multiplicities of Istanbul, its political and private stories, but also contains the stories of other cities where Şiir Özbilge has lived. Şiir Özbilge, with a series of canvases close to children's illustration, and two installations, creates a lucid political satire on contemporaneity, in which the personal becomes political, and her individual experiences are in fact influenced by structures of social power.
