Chiaroscuri romantici

The closing event of Le Salon de Musique is entrusted to the duo composed of Fabio Mureddu (cello) and Michele Nurchis (piano) with "Romantic Chiaroscuros". The program pairs the Cello Sonata in G minor, Op. 65 by Frédérik Chopin with the Sonata in A major, FWV 8 by César Franck, two masterpieces of the second half of the nineteenth century that, although born in different cultural contexts, share an idea of the sonata as a space for intimate and profound dialogue between instruments.
