From June 5th to December 19th, the International Festival “Cortoindanza Logos. A Bridge to Europe” directed by Simonetta Pusceddu, returns to Cagliari.
Over 50 internationally renowned artists from Italy, Serbia, Spain, France, Switzerland, Germany, South Korea, Japan, China, and Russia will animate the venues of T.Off (Workshop of scenic and performing arts) and EXMÀ - Municipal Center of Art and Culture in Cagliari.
Now in its nineteenth edition, “Cortoindanza Logos. A Bridge to Europe” stands out as an excellence in Sardinia’s cultural scene thanks to its ability to establish a broad intercultural dialogue with the most significant international dance organizations.
“Between the Walls” conceived and directed by Ildar Tagirov (Moscow, Russia), dancer, choreographer, and actor with an internationally recognized training and professional collaborations.
This creative project reflects on the isolation of talent, whether chosen or imposed, and its human and artistic consequences. Through the figure of Maria Callas, the work explores the relationship between success, loneliness, and sacrifice, showing how the denial of one’s own talent can turn into a slow process of inner dissolution.
At 9:00 PM, “From Aporetico - Everything is going to be ok if you stick with me,” written and performed by Francesca Sacchi and Giorgia Enrico (Turin - Italy/Serbia). An exploration of loneliness and the conflict between the multiple dimensions of the self, where identity fragments into a plurality of perspectives and challenges every certainty.
At 9:30 PM, “From NunCraker - Dinner is Served,” written and performed by Francesca De Girolamo (Rome – Italy). A solo performance about the daily struggles of life and the ability to recognize one’s inner resources to rely on for survival today. Between dance and physical theater, the piece transforms a simple and universal gesture—the preparation of a plate of pasta—into a story of resilience, identity, and survival.
“Courage. Bad luck does not exist” co-organized with Ce.D.A.C. Sardegna, written and performed by Noemi Dalla Vecchia and Matteo Vignali (Lecco – Perugia, Italy). A solo-duet that explores the concept of bad luck and the perception of control over one’s own life, challenging the idea of external events as the cause of individual fate and opening a reflection on the self, responsibility, and the possibility of transformation.
From July 6th to 11th at T.OFF Space will take place the Contemporanea Dance Week, curated by Oltrenotte, co-organized with the La Bruma Company, developed in collaboration with the Cortoindanza and Fuorimargine Festivals, together with the international partners SEAD – Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance and PERA – School of Performing Arts, and carried out in partnership with Radio X, Ugly Movers, Effort, and Jazz Alarm!

At 9:00 PM, “Current Accounts” written and performed by Yésica Castellón Jiménez and Boris Orihuela Pérez (Cádiz, Spain). A reflection on the dehumanization of the corporate world, expressed through bodily language with imagination and emotional intensity. The work transforms economic concepts and everyday metaphors into physical action, exploring the boundary between reality and subjective interpretation.
At 9:30 PM follows “Nonfiction” written and performed by Jo Hyun Do and Kim Na Eui (Seoul – Korea), Ahn Aesoon Company’s international cultural exchange and research activities in Italy and Seoul (Korea). The piece by the Korean duo, among the most promising on the Asian scene, explores the interaction between reality and imagination, drawing inspiration from nonfiction literature.
“Fictions” concept and choreography by Lupa Maimone, produced by Oltrenotte. An archive of metamorphoses, a bodily atlas of illusions that are built and undone, opening the door to a surreal universe. The body multiplies into a choreographic language that weaves together voice, magic, and objects. Each scene becomes a small dreamlike explosion, a fiction that lives and dies within the time of a gesture.
“Studio for Holiness/Étude pour la sainteté” written and performed by Erika Di Crescenzo. Inspired by the thought of Georges Bataille, the work explores the fine boundary between holiness, madness, desire, and corporeality. A provocative and magnetic staging evokes the mystical and feverish universe of historical figures like Joan of Arc, creating an emotional journey where ecstasy, rebellion, and the search for love intertwine in the quest for one’s sacred vital space.
“Adeus” directed and choreographed by Lupa Maimone. Featuring Vinka Delgado, Simona Ceccobelli, Ayelén Tejedor, and Elisa Zedda. Five women explore old age as a presence already inscribed in the body. Through circus, dance, and object manipulation, they engage in a dialogue with prostheses of possibility, masks, and limbs that organically merge with them.
“The Vertigo of Desire” written and directed by Giacomo Costantini and Violette Cortiles.
An intimate and ambitious work that blends circus, music, illusionism, and literature to explore the human nature of desire: a paradox that resides in our deepest intimacy, yet is a foreign force that does not entirely belong to us and that we cannot control.
“Reface” written and performed by Chandra Grangean and Lise Messina, from the company Les Idoles. A physical and musical exploration based on the idea of transformation. A continuously evolving process in which the faces and bodies of the two performers constantly change through the use of tape, wigs, and makeup. A dance that continually shifts in form and tone, where the performers appear at times as comical, frightening, innocent, unsettling, and grotesque creatures.
“Blu – a Hundred Steps from the Sea”, a new production by Simonetta Pusceddu.
