The Castle of San Michele hosts an interesting exhibition on Pisan Cagliari (13th century).
What were the clothes used by the inhabitants of the ancient Castel di Castro? Was there a distinction in shapes and colours between the members of the various social groups? What fabrics were used?
The clothes on display have been reconstructed by the best Tuscan tailors and with the same materials and techniques used at the time. Fabrics, colours, linens and accessories such as shoes, headdresses, belts and bags will show the customs and lifestyles of Pisan Cagliari, highlighting the social structure: from farmers to nobles, through artisans and traders, up to the clergy.
