The International Trade Fair of Sardinia is an exhibition area near the centre of Cagliar. The fairground features 12 ha (29.6 acres) of open-air space and 46,320 m² (498,584 sq ft) of covered indoor space with 12 pavilions.

The company Azienda Speciale Fiera Internazionale della Sardegna was established in 1978 by an initiative of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Handicraft and Agricuture of Cagliari. Its purpose is to organize every sort of exhibition and fair (general or specialized) which can promote and suport Sardinian industry, commerce and business. Tha International Fair of Sardinia also manages the Centro Congressi, the most modern and functional Congress Centre in Sardinia, with more than 3.000 congressional places available.

The Fair of May (The Campionaria) represents a top showcase that brings every year in the fair area more than 500.000 visitors during twelve days. Thanks to its importance in the national trade, the Campionaria Fair, increases every year the number of exhibitors and visitors. The fair is, since 1949, an important appointment for Sardinian's companies also because it reflects the economy trend of the Island. The Campionaria Internazionale Generale, with its half century experience, remains the flagship event scheduled in the International Fair of Sardinia.

FIAB CAGLIARI is a non profit organization whose institutional goals are promoting and encouraging the use of the bycicle as a environmentally-friendly means of transport, socialization and entertainment.

Our actions, initiatives and proposals are aimed at making local authorities and the citizenship aware of the concepts of "environmental sustainability" and "sustainable mobility", proposing solutions that aim to reduce air and noise pollution, reduce the vehicle traffic, increase the well-being of the community and protect the public health.

FIAB CAGLIARI is one of the 150 member associations of the FIAB (Italian Federation of Friends of the Bicycle). The FIAB is recognized by the Ministry of the Environment as an Environmental Protection Association and by the Ministry of Infrastructures as an Association with proven experience in the field of road safety and prevention.

FIAB joins the ECF (European Cyclists’Federation) - consisting of 61 European-level associations - which promotes cycling at European and international level in transport, environmental and tourism policies.

Saint'Elia lighthouse is located near the bay of Calamosca, next to the Signal Tower. Built in 1850, it was activated in 1860 by the Royal Civil Engineering Office and consists of a two-storey building topped by a cylindrical tower with black and white stripes. Its optic is of the rotating type and was electrified in 1937 to facilitate the work of the lighthouse keepers. It has a bright range of 21 miles.
