The Zedda Zedda Palace (commissioned by Renato and Pietro Zedda brothers in 1934) stands on the corner between Via Macomer and Piazza Garibaldi.

Typical example of architectural Rationalism characterized by simple and rigorous lines. The façade is marked by horizontal bands in alternate colours whose direction is inverted compared with the vertical bands of Ebau Palace.

The palace was built in 1893-95, and it is located in front of the railway station.

The building takes its name from Vivanet brothers who commissioned the construction works. The neo-Gothic three-storey building is characterized by a series of pointed arches present throughout the Via Roma. The corners and the ferrules of the pointed arches have a particular cladding in visible brick work.

The “Vinceremo Palace” is the building located on the corner of Via Petrarca and Via San Benedetto, built around 1940 and used by the Italian Air Force.

The name originates from the word “Vinceremo” (We will win), placed in the facade of the building (later removed), and clearly expresses the solid certainty of the inhabitants to win the Second World War.

This building stands in a wide area between Viale Regina Elena, Piazza Marghinotti and via Sulis.

The construction of the building took place in two different periods. The engineer Niccolò Mura conceived the project for the first block erected between 1901 and 1915, facing the side of the Bastion of Saint Remy. The engineer Riccardo Simonetti is the author of the project concerning the extension of the façade that extends to Piazza Marghinotti, which took place in 1926.

After the bombings of 1943 the palace suffered extensive damage and was the subject of an accurate restoration work after the war. The two blocks are entirely different from each other even if the extension works did not result in substantial changes in the architectural style. Also the materials used for the two sides are different: granite, limestone in the base and clay for ornaments in the part that faces Viale Regina Elena; concrete aggregate and cotto for the façade in front of Via Sulis and Piazza Marghinotti.

The building was built in 1850 and in 1927 the engineer Giacomo Crespi was responsible for the supervision of some renovation works.

The building houses the headquarters of the Historical Institute Foundation "Giuseppe Siotto", founded in 1990 with the aim to promote the study and diffusion of Sardinian history. The foundation owns an important library which includes rare books of the sixteenth century. In the Room of Portraits and in the Green Room it is possible to admire valuable paintings by artists such Marghinotti, Figari, Morgari. The photographic antique collection concerning the family and the staff of Siotto company is of remarkable documentary and historical importance.

The palace, built in 1858 and designed by the architect Gatano Cima, rises in Via Genovesi in Castello district.

The architect Cima, whose design was commissioned by the Count Cao of San Marco, had the opportunity, as he had done for other palaces in Cagliari, to transfer the peculiar elements of his work in the building's facade. The palace, in Neoclassical style, is structured into a ground floor and two upper floors. The windows of the first floor have protruding balconies with wrought iron railings; the windows of the second floor, lined with festoons, have flush balconies on the facade. In the spotlight, the emblem of the Cao family carved on the central balcony of the first floor, which depicts two dolphins and a seagull in the act of swimming (it is important to underline that the dialectal term "cau" refers to the Seagull).

It was built by the Sanjust Family of Teulada and bought some years ago by the Great Orient of Italy to host the headquarters of the Masonic Lodge.

The original building housed the headquarters of the University commissioned by Philip IV and later, from the eighteenth century, was used as a military barracks. It was abandoned in 1852 and later bought in order to be replaced by a new building. The building's architectural style is heavily influenced by the classic taste clearly visible in the openings surmounted by ashlars’ frames and windows framed by bands in both the main facade on Via Indipendenza and via Lamarmora.
