Saint Elia is one of the districts of Cagliari and it was originally known as the fishing village. Located close to an area, once marshy, and near the homonymous lighthouse, it includes a dense network of narrow streets that wind through the old houses, at the center of which there is a church. In front of the sea there is a square where the Lazzaretto stands. In the past, the seventeenth-century structure was used as a shelter and today it has become a lively cultural center that hosts courses, art exhibitions and reviews.
