The Church of Saint Giovanni Battista is located in the Villanova district, in via San Giovanni and hosts the seat of the Archconfraternity of Solitude, active in the organization of some suggestive rites related to Holy Week. Probably erected around the fifteenth century it underwent restoration and the current facade, in neo-Romanesque style, dates back to the twentieth century. The portal is surmounted by a frescoed lunette depicting Saint John the Baptist intent on playing with a lamb, a symbol of Christ.
