Thursday, January 29th
The event starts at 9 p.m. with "Sighida", that in Sardinian language means "continuation" or "follow-up," represents the meeting of two generations of music in Sardinia: on one side, a veteran like the Cagliari-born instrumentalist, composer, and researcher Mauro Palmas, with a rich background of experiences from an artistic career filled with successful productions and diverse collaborations; on the other, the twenty-year-old accordionist Giacomo Vardeu, with his extraordinary technical skill and surprising expressive maturity. The result is an exciting and engaging musical dialogue that, starting from the past, looks to the future through a repertoire that ranges from reinterpretations of Sardinian tradition to European and Mediterranean sounds.
