The Municipal Art Gallery hosts Ritorni. I maestri del Novecento in dialogo (Back to the Gallery. 20th Century Masters in Dialogue), a series of exhibitions whose aim is to bring to light the most significant works of the Civic Collection, which had been kept for years in the deposits and give back them to the public through specific studies and new interpretation.
The first exhibition is "Faces and Stories of Sardinia (1913 - 1964)" which brings sixteen of the most significant works from the Civic Collection back on public display from March 27th.
Through vivid and authentic portraits - farmhands, fishermen, women, workers and other people from everyday life - the exhibition show a Sardinia far from stereotypes: a land of stories, gazes and identity.
The exhibition itinerary is divided into three different themes: faces, work and time to stay together and lead the visitors through the moments of life in Sardinia in the first part of the '20th.
Also kids can enjoy the exhibit thanks to a teaching path made by games, observations and fun facts. An easy way to let the visitors of any age to enjoy the exhibition indipendently.
