The Feast of the Assumption (or simply, “The Assumption)” is widely celebrated all over Christendom.
So 15th of August is a public holiday day, also in Cagliari. But culture doesnt't go on holiday!
In Cagliari it will be possible to visit museums and cultural sites, open to the public with the following timetables:
Archaeological Museum and National Picture Gallery: from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm (ticket office closes at 6:45 pm)
Municipal Art Gallery and Former Town Hall: from 10 am to 8 pm (last admission at 7:30 pm)
Siamese Art Museum "Stefano Cardu": from 10 am to 7 pm (last admission at 6:30 pm)
Ethnographic Museum Luigi Cocco: from 10 am to 8 pm (last admission at 7:30 pm)
Royal Palace: from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm (last admission at 6 pm)
Botanical Garden: open from 9 am to 7 pm (ticket office closes at 6 pm)
Roman Amphitheatre, Santa Restituta Crypt: from 10 am to 1 pm and from 3 pm to 7 pm (ticket office closes 30 minutes before the closing time). In order to visit the Viper's Cave, reservation is required.
Passeggiata Coperta and Tutankhamon exhibition: from 10 am to 8 pm (last admission at 7 pm)
SEARCH - Exhibition Venue of Municipal Historic Archive: from 10 am to 8 pm (last admission at 7:30 pm).
Lazzaretto Cultural Centre: from 9 am to 1 pm and from 3 pm to 7 pm (last admission at 6:30 pm)
San Michele Castle: from 10 am to 8 pm (last admission at 7 pm)
Museum of the Treasure and Archaeological Area of Saint Eulalia: from 9:30 am to 1 pm
Molentargius Natural Park: the infopoint of the park opens from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm
Conti Vecchi Saltworks: from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm
Tuvixeddu Necropolis: open until 10.30 pm
